SCULPTFEST 2018 Was a Great Success...

Round Rock, Texas - Sculptfest 2018 was a wonderful weekend. It is always great to talk to the people, see old friends and make new friends. Thank you Scot Wilkinson-City of Round Rock, Clint Howard & the crew from Deep In The Heart Foundry, Joe Kenney and all the others that worked so hard to make this show a success. We are looking forward to a bigger & better show in 2019. As a side note - Round Rock invited me to place Primavera in the lobby of their Baca Center (site for the show) for while so if you get a chance go by, check her out and say hello to the great people of this friendly city.

Celebration Wins Award at Texas Sculpture Association Show…

Celebration - One of 4 sculptures in the Carnivale' Mystique series by Gregory Beck was awarded Second Place Honors at the TSA’s 2018 Membership Show by Juror Pat Bodnyk, Holder Dane Gallery & Art Studios, Grapevine, TX.

Pat’s Comments (TSA Artist News and Opportunities Newsletter – 3-23-18)

Second Place: Celebration by Greg Beck. This lovely piece has it all: movement, soft perfectly done patina colors, additional bands of metal that top off the movement and carries the eye up and away into that space of energy. Title, base nicely done and overall a complete presentation of character makes this sculpture second place yet first in figurative.

Exhibited sculpture by various member artists will remain on view through March 31st. If you can make it to this outstanding venue you will find some amazing art by TSA members and enjoy Grapevine’s enchanting downtown with its art-destination hospitality.

A special Thanks to Breanne Schwarz and the others at TSA for their efforts in assembling this wonderful exhibition.

Location:

Grapevine Convention and Visitors Bureau Tower Gallery located at 636 South Main Street, Grapevine, TX.
